KPCVA
The executive and administrative body of the KPCVA, responsible for implementing the legal mandates, processing cases and implementing the Commissions’ decisions.
The Kosovo Property Comparison and Verification Agency (KPCVA) exercises its mandate through the Supervisory Board, the competent commissions and the Executive Secretariat, in accordance with Law No. 05/L-010, as amended and supplemented.
The Executive Secretariat is responsible for the preparation and professional handling of cases, for supporting the competent commissions and for carrying out the duties related to the implementation of decisions, within the competences laid down by law.
The Secretariat is led by the Director, who reports and answers to the Supervisory Board, in accordance with the legislation in force.
Receives, registers and processes property claims, including claims for the recognition of property rights arising from informal transactions before 24 March 1999, in accordance with the legislation in force.
Compares the scanned original cadastral documents from the period before June 1999 with the current cadastral documents in Kosovo, in order to identify differences and discrepancies.
Notifies the parties, verifies the documentation and prepares cases for consideration by the Property Verification and Adjudication Commission (PVAC) and the Property Claims Commission (PCC), according to their respective competences.
Carries out the duties related to the implementation of decisions and the relevant orders, the administration of properties under KPCVA administration, the operation of the voluntary rental scheme and cooperation with the competent institutions in fulfilling legal responsibilities.
Organisation
Supports the day-to-day work of the whole Agency and safeguards the documentation on which every case rests.
