In 2025, the Kosovo Property Comparison and Verification Agency (KPCVA) achieved significant progress in strengthening legal certainty of property rights in the Republic of Kosovo.
Throughout the year, the KPCVA carried out a comprehensive nationwide public information campaign, distributing over 100,000 leaflets and 50,000 posters, and raising awareness among citizens about procedures for the recognition and formalization of property rights.
- More than 15,000 claims for property formalization were received
- Over 800 legal notices were published in accordance with the law
- 41 properties were vacated, with 32 returned to lawful owners in northern Mitrovica
- More than 25,000 inspections were conducted for the administration of over 11,000 properties
- The restructuring and systematization of job positions was carried out for the first time since 2010 and successfully completed, covering a staff of approximately 200 officials
These results reflect the KPCVA’s strong institutional commitment to implementing its legal mandate, ensuring transparency, and providing effective services to citizens.
