In 2025, the Kosovo Property Comparison and Verification Agency (KPCVA) achieved significant progress in strengthening legal certainty of property rights in the Republic of Kosovo.

Throughout the year, the KPCVA carried out a comprehensive nationwide public information campaign, distributing over 100,000 leaflets and 50,000 posters, and raising awareness among citizens about procedures for the recognition and formalization of property rights.

  • More than 15,000 claims for property formalization were received
  • Over 800 legal notices were published in accordance with the law
  • 41 properties were vacated, with 32 returned to lawful owners in northern Mitrovica
  • More than 25,000 inspections were conducted for the administration of over 11,000 properties
  • The restructuring and systematization of job positions was carried out for the first time since 2010 and successfully completed, covering a staff of approximately 200 officials

These results reflect the KPCVA’s strong institutional commitment to implementing its legal mandate, ensuring transparency, and providing effective services to citizens.

On this occasion, the Executive Director of the KPCVA, Mrs. Afërdita Beka-Arifaj, expresses her appreciation to the Agency’s staff for their continued dedication, professionalism, and contribution to serving citizens and strengthening legal certainty of property rights.
